Pirate Ship Pool GoPro Style

We've talked about the Pirate Ship pool before.  The kids LOVE this place.  And especially now in their pirate phase.  Check out our latest Gopro video.  It's been on FB for a while now so you might have seen it before.  If not, enjoy.

Estes Park Life Group Trip

While Grandma and Granddad where busy keep our kiddos busy, we were relaxing in beautiful Estes Park with our friends from Life Group.  It was our first adventure in snow shoeing and what a blast we had.  Besides snow shoeing, we chilled in a beautiful cabin/house, enjoyed hanging around with our friends, ate home cooked meals prepared by friends, played games, and were just overall blessed by our refreshing getaway.

Grandma and Granddad Visit

After Ethan's Birthday, Grandma and Granddad stayed the weekend while mommy and daddy went on a trip out to Estes Park.  The kids were thrilled!  And so were we because a weekend off together was absolutely wonderful.  Thank you so much for letting us get away!

They went on outings to the park, hung out with Uncle Matt and Jacquelyn and visited the Buffalo Bill Museum.

We are so glad you got to come and stay with us Grandma and Granddad!  We miss you already. : )

Ethan's Birthday

A few weeks ago we got to celebrate Ethan's 3rd birthday.  Three years old!!  We had fun celebrating pirate style with Grandma and Granddad and Uncle Matt and Aunt Jacquelyn.  It was all about Jake and the Neverland Pirates!  Dinner and a treasure hunt.  The perfect evening for our sweet baby, I mean, big boy.

Stay tuned for a video of the treasure hunt, some gift opening, and the birthday song.  I'm trying to consolidate it!

Dear Ethan,

Another year older!  Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you.  You continue to be our little love bug, using your sweet hugs and dimples to melt the hearts of many and turn us to mush.  You love to snuggle.  Especially after nap time with your blankie and whomever is willing to hold you in their lap and watch a show with you.  You are doing great in preschool which you started last month going twice a week.  We love your many pictures and "crafts" that you make us at school, the Y, and at home.  You can write E's really well and are learning to write your name.  Your vocabulary is growing every day.  You're are quite the little snacker, especially when it comes to fruit.  You would eat any fruit we put in front of you and it is often hard to keep strawberries, blueberries, or grapes in the refrigerator as you like to stealthily steal them!  You are a good helper when we give you tasks and are getting better about doing your "chores" before bed.  You LOVE to play outside.  Dirt is your best friend and you much prefer to run around barefoot even in the cold.  Your little Strider is well worn as you love riding it at skateboard parks along side your brother.  And speaking of your brother, you look up to him and constantly try to do things just like him.  But you also like to pick on him!  You are starting to realize you can bug him and make him start a fight with you and then get it all blamed on him!  You love to wrestle your brother.  And fight with pretend weapons.  And bust out your ninja moves.  But the fun is over when you get hurt.  You've gotten better at shaking it off though.  It's usually not anything that mommy or daddy can't kiss and make better.  Or a good snuggle can't solve.  Now that you have a trampoline, you love to jump with your brother and make up new tricks.  Mommy is thankful you are able to burn off so much energy in it!  We love you so much.  Keep smiling that adorable toothless smile!  Here's to another year bubs!

Love,
Mommy and Daddy

Good News!!

As a lot of you know, John and I have had our house in Gardner on the market now for 4 months.  It has been a very trying and difficult few months financially as we have had to make double housing payments.  Especially just before the holidays when we also owed a deposit back to the previous renters.  So essentially, we had to make 3 house payments on November 1st and we have been playing catch up ever since.  In the mean time, it seemed like more and more financial things kept creeping up on us and it was very discouraging.

However, we serve a big God and we have lots of family and friends who He has used in this time to bless us.  We are so very grateful for the support financially and spiritually we have received.  I don't feel comfortable naming names but you know who you are.  Your gas card, money sent in the mail, grocery cards, visa cards, movie tickets to take a break, and so many many prayers said for us are overwhelming.  Thank you.  They have kept us afloat these past few months.  My hope is to pay it forward when all this clears up.

Yesterday, we accepted an offer on our house!  Yay!!  It is a huge burden off our shoulders and we feel like we can finally put our life back in order.  John has been working 6 12 hour shifts at a time to keep enough money coming for double payments.  He will now be able to rest.  Thank you again for all of your prayers and keep praying that everything goes smoothly in the next few weeks.  The end is in sight!

We love you all so much.

(More posts coming soon as I need to catch up!)

Officially... I'm Pregnant!

The word is out. The cat's out of the bag.  I am 9 weeks pregnant with our 3rd baby!  We are super excited and feeling very blessed.  Check out our FB announcement photo.  It turned out way better than the ones I brought to the grandparents last weekend after the shower!

Jenny's Baby Shower

I was so fortunate to get to attend Jenny's baby shower in Kansas City.  Thanks to my in-laws for flying me back home for the weekend!  It was a fantastic and much needed/relaxing trip. Oh course I missed the boys (all of them) but they survived without me for the weekend.  In fact, I think they really had a great time hanging with daddy.

The shower was amazing.  Aunt Marilyn pulled out all the stops and it was packed!  That sweet baby Rosie is set for her first year of clothes for sure!  Jenny is looking absolutely beautiful and she's got that I'm-gonna-be-a-momma-soon glow.  It is so exciting to have another baby in the family.  I'm super excited the kids finally have a cousin!!  And it was awesome to see all cousins and aunts and of course Grandma Farnsworth.

While in town, I got to spend some quality time with my family too.  My mom took my sisters and I on a girls date to get our toes done.  Ahhh.... so relaxing!  And my stripper pink that Katie and I chose actually looks awesome with my Zumba wear for my Aqua Zumba classes.  Bonus!  It was also great to see my Grammy at dinner Saturday and of course spend time with my dad too.  It was a blitz of a weekend but so fun.

Katie's cute official invite to be her bridesmaid!!!! Soooo cute!

My sweet, sweet dog Ellie who has cancer all throughout.  She's doing well right now but I had to get some extra snuggles in while I was in town.

First Gopro video!!!

My hubby fixed my computer so I can upload my videos from our new Gopro camera.  The other day I took the kids to the skateboard park near our house.  We drug both the big wheels, the strider bike, and the scooter with us and I attached the Gopro to Aaron's helmet for kicks!  It turned out really neat.  Aaron was not a fan of wearing it on his head though and Ethan wouldn't even try it.  So next time I think we'll try the bike mount and face it toward their faces!  (That's the bonus about Matt working for a bike shop... wholesale!!)

Check out our first video project.  I can't wait to get some skiing, hiking, and biking videos made too!!
