Criger Dates

The biggest downside to moving a state and half away is all the family and wonderful friends we are leaving behind.  Amy and I have been BFFs since kindergarten and though she lived out of town for a while during school it was as if no time had left when her and Job moved back.  It seems we've done everything in life together.  We got married within months of each other as well as had our kids (all boys) very close.  In fact, as Jude pointed out we have a 1, 2, 3, and 4 year old when we're all together!  It has been so fun going on play dates with Amy and the boys and I will sincerely miss our little outings.  Here are just a few of our outings.  It's very hard to get them all to look at the camera at the same time!

 Lunch at our house
Making coffee and cookies for the mommies at Groundhouse Coffee
 Yeah, they're pretty cute!

Jude and Asher's Birthday party.

We sure will miss you guys!  Amy is overdue as I write this for baby number 3... another precious little boy!  No.  I'm not joining her yet this time.  Looks like number 3 will be separated by a little more time! : )  I'm anxiously awaiting his arrival and hope I get to meet him before we move!!

Swimming with Grammy

This summer we have had the privilege of swimming with my Grammy at her apartment on several occasions.  The boys love to swim and her pool has a great wading area for them to play in.  They also love to jump in and play on the stairs too.  We've had some fun times and are really going to miss hanging out with Grammy when we move.  Here are some of our pictures.  Aunt Chelsee joined us too!

Our New Home

We have some pics of our new place! They are still working on the final finishes so it is still kind of torn up but John was able to snap some shots.  We are so thankful for such a great place to be moving into.  I think it is going to be perfect for our family.  Our landlord is also a realtor so he's already keeping an eye out for us for a new home to buy when we are ready!  In the mean time, I couldn't ask for a better place to rent.  Everything is new!  And looking around the neighborhood I couldn't help but notice all the swing sets - lots of kids!  Here's a little unofficial tour.  There are two other rooms not pictured.  The boys room and a guest room.  Of course once we're settled I'll give you a real tour of our new home!

The back yard.  It's half grass, and behind this shot is gravel.  The grassy area has a sprinkler system.
This is the deck from.  There are 2 access points - one from the dining room and one from the master bedroom.  The boxes and trash are just from the remodeling.
 Another angle.
This is the full backyard.  It is a duplex so the fence divides it.
Our side.  Only 1 car garage but that's OK.
 The neighbor's side.
This is the living room to the right as you walk through the front door.  It's full of stuff right now.  Of course it will be empty when we move in.
Master bedroom closets - his and hers!  Not walk in, but I get my own space!
Upstairs bathroom.  Brand new cabinets and sink and flooring.
Ad the base of the stairs, to the right is the den/playroom and the middle room goes to the storage.
 Future playroom! : )
Storage space in the basement.  No more crawl space!
Brand new kitchen cabinets, lighting, counters, and flooring.  Some new appliances too.

Kitchen may be a little tight but I'll manage!
Near by playground for the kids.
 Counters installed.
Other side.

So that's that for now!  We'll update the pics when we get all settled.  Only a week and a half away!!!!!

Mr. Snuggles

Of course by Mr. Snuggles I mean Mr. Eman!  He is such a lover.  I have caught him various times hugging his older brother - even after been whacked with a toy.  Sometimes Aaron doesn't much care for the cuddle attention but other times he tolerates it and even tries to mimic him.  I of course think this is awesome because I cannot get enough hugs and cuddles!

He has a funny habit that has been forming over the last week or so.  It is quite hilarious.  Whenever he has a stinky diaper he comes over to me and wraps his little arms around my neck for a full on bear hug.  Then he'll release the hold pull back and smile - a very sly smile.  Like, "oh mommy.... I have a job for you..." type of smile.  If I don't get it at first, he'll hug me again, suck his thumb innocently and then flash me another grin.  By this time, I usually smell him and realize, oooohhhhhh he needs a diaper change!  Little stinker!  It's ok, I'll take the snuggle.  Even a "poop snuggle" as I've come to call them.

And his hugs extend to more than just family.  In fact, I would even call him a little ladies man when it comes to sweet little girls.  How can they resist his dimple charm?  We were at the Great Mall the other day and he made some friends and then followed them around hugging them.  It was adorable!

Moving Date is Official!

Well folks - we are officially moving on September 4th!!!  We have secured a duplex to rent, booked the truck rental, and booked a moving company to help us unload when we get there!  This whole process has been a complete God thing but this duplex specifically was an answer to prayers.  I would post pics but its pretty gutted out right now.  The owners are replacing all carpet, paint, kitchen cabinets, and some of the doors.  It will be like new when we move in!

Labor Day weekend is going to be jam packed with celebrations.  We look forward to Matt and Jaquelyn's wedding festivities!  Then John will get to "take us home" to Colorado!  I can't wait!

Video Post

I thought it would be fun to do a post of all videos.  These are just a few from the last few months.  So if you're at work, just skip this post and wait until you're home to check it out. : )  *Please excuse my obnoxiously loud voice as I record these videos.

Daddy's Visit

A few weeks ago John was able to get away from work for a week to come back to KC and spend his birthday with us.  It seemed like he was only here for a day or two.  Time went by so fast!  We went on a few fun play dates with Daddy and of course had dinner with both John's family and mine.  It was a great week and that is when we decided on going the renting route.  Saying goodbye was hard - but hopeful as we were pretty sure this was going to be the last month apart.

John and I arrived home from the airport late and the boys were sound asleep.  He managed to rouse Aaron enough to sort of register that daddy was home but the real welcome home was the next morning.  Ethan stood up in his crib and shouted, "Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!"  And then both boys came and snuggled daddy in bed.  The picture says it all!
We spent some time at Grandma and Granddad's and celebrated both Grandma and Daddy's birthdays.
We went to Kaleidoscope at Crown Center and then to Fritz's for lunch one day.
There were some good snuggles for daddy.

We went to the Johnson County Museum with Grandma and Granddad and then to a different Fritz's another day!

We flew kites.  Or we attempted to, but there was no wind.
And we celebrated Daddy's birthday with special Oreo frozen treats.

The week went by far too fast!  Only 15 days until we are with daddy for good!!! We can't wait!
